We're super excited to try a new outreach as a church! Our Night Before Christmas service is all about JOY! After receiving joy from God as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we want to give you an opportunity to give some of that joy away!
Your mission is to get a $20 bill from us and give it away to someone, no strings attached! Just a way to spread a little joy to others at the end of a difficult year. We encourage you to pray about how God would like you to share your $20 and with whom. Just use the red button above and we'll send you one!
Two logistical notes:
1. You can have up to three $20's per family.
2. After you've completed your mission, let everyone know how you gave your $20 away in the #joy-to-the-community Slack channel or email us at vineyardoffice@stlvineyard.org!
Here are some ideas to help you get started:
- Turn $20 into quarters and give them to a person in a laundry mat.
- Buy two $10 or four $5 gift cards to Starbucks and send them with an kind note to someone in the mail.
- Tape it up in a bus stop for someone in need to find.
- Go to a thrift store and pray who God would have you bless, tuck the money with a note under their wiper blade or hand it to them when they get back.
- Pray about someone you know who is isolated due to Covid and send them an electronic gift card.
