Our Founding Pastor, David Stark, officially retired and transitioned to a new role within the church in the summer of 2025. We celebrated all that God had done through his time as Lead Pastor on the weekend of August 2 - 3, 2025.

This may seem like a big change for us at VCC (and it was!), but God had already been transitioning our leadership for several years before this and, in many ways, we were already living out what it would be like once David fully transitioned to his new role.

On the weekend where we celebrated David Stark's 28+ faithful years founding and serving at VCC, we gathered Sunday morning for a teaching based on Psalm 126. The members of Pastoral Council (Caleb Chou, Emily McCall, and Bill McKay) help us to look back with gratitude to God for all He has done, to invite Jesus into the process of letting go of David's leadership, and to say yes to where the Spirit is leading us next.
