With school just around the corner and Tuesday night youth group planned to start up again after Labor Day as usual, join us for lunch and a “conversation kickstarter” about ministry to the youth in our church.
In late June four members of the youth team (Tom Holt, Carrie Rife, Dawnn Spiller and Caleb Chou) felt drawn to take a step back from “planning as usual” and intentionally ask Jesus together what He wants us to know about the overall direction of our youth ministry at VCC. They had three great shared discernment sessions and found a lot of unity around a few core themes that emerged. Now they want to invite you into that conversation too!
This gathering is for:
- Anyone at VCC going into 6th - 12th grade (including those who don’t normally attend Tuesday nights)
- Parents and caretakers of our youth
- Youth leaders
- Anyone who is interested in connecting with youth
- Anyone who loves seeing youth valued and moving toward Jesus! (You don’t have to have been involved in youth ministry before and you’re not committing to anything by attending.)
More than ever before, we feel deeply that the youth are an integral part of who we are and what we’re called to as a church!
