Susan and her husband Bob joined VCC in 2007 when Bob's job brought them to Saint Louis. Susan describes herself as a "recovering quilter." :) Quilting helped her develop a practice of quiet contemplation which, as an active person, is quite a challenge. With practice she has come to love it, though! Fun fact: Susan volunteered for 10 years as a a helper, facilitator, prayer minister and preacher in a men’s penitentiary.

Susan serves on the prayer ministry team and as a small group host and co-leader. She also regularly serves refugees in the Saint Louis area through Oasis International and she volunteers at Christian Activity Center in East St. Louis. She also leads the charge on supplying and distributing meals to families in need in our church.
